Dr. Lundy was a panelist and invited speaker for a European Blood Alliance (EBA) webinar entitled "Innovation in Medicine: Exploring the Potential of Platelet Lysate". This was moderated by Olafur Eysteinn Sigurjónsson, and three other speakers were Hendrik Feys (Red Cross Flanders), Katharina Schallmoser (Paracelsus Medical University) and Erja Kerkela (Finnish Red Cross Blood Service) who shared expertise in human platelet lysate generation, processing and regulatory aspects. This was particularly related to platelet lysates as substitutes for FBS in culture of stem cells for clinical trials. In total, more than 120 attendees from industry, academia and government agencies were present.
