Congratulations to Andreas Czosseck on publication of "Extracellular vesicles from human cardiac stromal cells up-regulate cardiomyocyte protective responses to hypoxia"

Work on this project began in 2020 and has taken almost four years. The work shows that EVs from patient-derived cardiac stromal cells have similar miRNA cargo to bone marrow MSCs, but with a few "unique" miRNAs. The cardiac EVs upregulated protective pathways in hypoxic human cardiomyocytes, which were distinct from BM-MSC EVs.
